This class is for experienced beginners.  Dancers should be proficient in basic step, couples' right turn, couples' left turn, cross body lead, and cross body lead inside turn.  Classes are taught On1.

Overview

This course is designed to build upon the level I Series A course, providing you with the proper tools to begin placing together more complex intermediate moves.

 

Prerequisite(s)

Students are required take Level I Series A course prior to the entrance to Level I-B course. Students may opt in to the Series B course prior to brief assessment. Assessments are $10.00 per person and are by appointment only.

 

Curriculum 

You will continue to learn the techniques and fundamentals of dancing on your own:

  •  Introduction to body movement
  •  Introduction to balance & control
  •  Weight transfer
  •  Footwork


Fundamentals of understanding Salsa cntd.:

  •  Music and timing
  •  Basic step continued
  •  Rhythm


More in depth concepts of the fundamentals of leading and following:

  • Understanding roles of lead/follow
  • Working together
  • Core Basic turns
  • Core Directional patterns
  • Development of connection


You do not need a partner to join this class; however, you will need to pre-register to ensure a partner is provided for you.


Please note: It is up to the instructor to determine the pace of the class which is dependent upon students. This may slow or progress the syllabus.
